We would like to inform Vivahost clients of an important change affecting those who use the Gmail app to access their professional business email accounts. From our knowledge it is only a small number of current users.
What Has Changed?
Starting February 2026, Google has removed the “Check mail from other accounts” feature from the Gmail app.
This change affects both POP and IMAP-based external email accounts, including professional email services hosted with Vivahost.
As a result:

The Gmail app can no longer fetch or sync emails from your professional email account using this method.

This change is enforced by Google, is universal and is outside of Vivahost or other email host's control.
Who Is Affected?
You may be affected if:

You previously added your professional email address to the Gmail app using “Check mail from other accounts”

You relied on Gmail to pull emails from your professional email inbox (POP or IMAP)
Recommended Alternatives
To continue accessing your Vivahost email smoothly, we recommend one of the following options:
✅ Use a Dedicated Email App
Email applications such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or other IMAP-compatible apps continue to work normally with Vivahost email accounts.
✅ Use Webmail
You can always access your email via webmail from any browser
